Yunuen Esparza is a graphic designer and fine artist, living and working in Mexico City. Her deconstructivist paintings are filled with life and movement. The works play with viewers’ perceptions of the traditional and mundane, using augmented reality to complement her message.
What is unique about her works is the application of technology. When viewing the works through the artist’s own app, the works come to life. The application opens up the narrative to invite people to continue the story. It offers a way for people to connect to the art at multiple levels, and a way for people to connect to fellow viewers.
The Artist’s selection of mundane subjects and topics arise from a desire to inspire the viewer to discover the deep meaning of day-to-day objects, and to kindle the pursuit of creative ideas.
Esparzas’s contemporary art has been exhibited at many important symbolic museums. She has exhibited internationally in New York City, Vienna, Madrid, Málaga, Montreal, Bari Italy and San Diego.
