Steven Gordon is an American artist, painting south-central Alaskan landscapes. Steven’s brightly colored, richly detailed Alaska sceneries are a visual testimony of the artist’s pure fascination and love of nature. Steven Gordon’s paintings evoke a sense of immediacy – the bubbling surface of rushing water or the texture of a leaf twisting on a tree – that draws the viewer in and makes him feel part of the landscape. Though realistic in style, his brush works are visible upon closer look, and thus convey the energy that went into the making of each painting.
Steven Gordon has received several public art commissions and has had numerous solo exhibitions across the state. His work can be seen at the Anchorage Museum of History and Art and in many collections across the U.S.
