Nando Alvarez is a Spanish sculptor transforming stone, marble and wood into flowing textures and elastic structures. Inspired by elements of nature like water and wind, Alvarez’s work simulates the dynamic nature and fluidity of these elements in inelastic and rigid materials. The abstract works ´Waterfall´, ´Spring in Black´ and ´Seashell´ are a product of Alvarez’s early years living in Galicia, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and living next to a river that forms the border with Portugal. “I believe our culture is deeply linked to water, [which] has an evident reflection in my works in direct and non-direct manners.”
Nando Alverez’s works are displayed worldwide.
